This piece honors the Norma I was before, I loved that chapter. The woven fabric is incomplete because Im still rediscovering who I am now. I loved who I was, and I also LOVE this new version of myself.
The process involve painting over a colorful face with black, writing in spanish how I felt, breaking it apart and sewing it together- mirroring the c-section process.
